The Ultimate Recipe! [1] (Resepi Warisan Terulung) is the 6th issue of the second season of BoBoiBoy Galaxy, and the 13th issue overall in the series.
Synopsis[]
BoBoiBoy and friends return to Tuan Guru Gaharum empty handed. However, BoBoiBoy was given another chance to prove his seriousness.
Their journey in Rimbara is nearing its end, but only one will be crowned champion. Who will inherit the knowledge of Sir Guru Gaharum from generation to generation? BoBoiBoy or Qually?[2]
Plot[]
BoBoiBoy and his friends are on their way back to Gaharum's house with the ingredients they have. Qually appears at the same time and taunts BoBoiBoy. In rage, BoBoiBoy turns into BoBoiBoy Thunderstorm and chases Qually, until they came to Gaharum's house where Gaharum and Hang Kasa await their return.
BoBoiBoy and Qually quarrel while presenting the ingredients to Gaharum. BoBoiBoy has two while Qually has all four. Gaharum decides that BoBoiBoy failed while Qually won. Hang Kasa advised Gaharum to hold a Enchanted Tom Yam cooking contest between BoBoiBoy and Qually. After consideration, Gaharum agreed to the proposal and gave three days to prepare.
Qually, not pleased with Gaharum's change of heart, asked if he could use all the ingredients collected, Gaharum agreed. BoBoiBoy and friends discussed ways to make up for the lack of available materials.
When the day came, a cooking competition between BoBoiBoy and Qually which was attended by the entire Cendawa tribe, was held with Hang Kasa, Tok Cendatok, Gaharum as the jury. Participants were given 60 minutes to prepare a dish that tastes closest to the Enchanted Tom Yam, and the best being announced as the winner. BoBoiBoy recalled three days of trying to learn Tom Yam under Tok Aba's teaching, while Gaharum put a timer clock to start the match.
Qually starts by slicing a large onion, while BoBoiBoy performs Penta Split, then distributes the tasks among themselves. Quake became the head of cooking assisted by Blaze and Ice to take care of the kitchen, Thorn was tasked with preparing the drinks, while Thunderstorm chopped the ingredients. While doing the task, Thunderstorm noticed on Qually's table there was a different Sacred Pepper than the one they had.
Suddenly, a group of birds from Muriong Village led by Jaguh Lang stormed into the event area and confronted BoBoiBoy Thunderstrom to return the stolen Golden Pepper. Thunderstorm pointed that Qually had it, but Jaguh Lang got distracted by the smell of cooking Tom Yam and after enquiring about it went to sit as the audience with his group so they can taste it after being cooked.
Hang Kasa announced that only 30 minutes remained, causing the atmosphere to become anxious on BoBoiBoy's side. Thunderstorm sliced the peppers and onions hurriedly. Qually put the Blue Flame flower in his dish, but BoBoiBoy uses garlic flower. Gopal reminds them to add salt, and Ice almost puts a piece of Crystal Salt before being seized by Quake who crushes the lump into powder to be sprinkled on the dish.
Quake tasted of the cuisine and felt too spicy. Blaze told them to add coconut milk, and Thorn brought it. Blaze felt the fire was not strong enough and used Flame Blast, but it was so strong that the dish burned and Ice frozed it to put out the fire. Seeing the demeanor on the other side, Qually commented on BoBoiBoy's work like an amateur.
Apparently, the ice not only put out the fire but ruined the cuisine, making BoBoiBoy's group to loose hope. Yaya contacts Ochobot on Earth to teleport Tok Aba to the venue to give BoBoiBoy advice. With 15 minutes left, the five BoBoiBoys got back in high spirits and discussed further strategies.
While Qually began serving the dishes, Blaze used medium fire spray to melt and boil the tom yam and then merged with Ice into BoBoiBoy FrostFire. FrostFire used Blazing Frost Explosion on the pan to prepare the dish. In the last minute, FrostFire had served the dish.
With the cooking session over, the judges made their decision. Qually's Enchanted Tom Yam with four original ingredients had immediate praise but Gaharum thought it a little lacking. BoBoiBoy's Tom Yam was good as well. After trying, Gaharum asked BoBoiBoy from where he learned this unique recipe, to which he replied his grandfather. Gaharum commented it tastes unique but a little spicy.
Finally, the jury reached a decision and Gaharum announced the result of the contest was a draw, saying both dishes had specialties but had not yet reached the level of taste of legendary Tom Yam. Gaharum combined the two Tom Yams and announced that the both won, granting them their wishes. Qually gets Gaharum's personal cooking book to learn recipes while BoBoiBoy is gifted an Oakuat seed to gain Timber power.
BoBoiBoy and Qually congratulate each other, and Qually apologizes for his past actions to put aside the quarrel between them. Yaya invites Qually to join TAPOPS, Gopal also forgives Qually as he offered to become their cook. The issue ended with BoBoiBoy and Qually serving Tom Yam to the contest audience.
