The Flame Behind the Fire (Di Sebalik Api Sengketa) is the 19th issue of the second season of BoBoiBoy Galaxy, and the 26th issue overall in the series.
Synopsis[]
Caught in the middle of a fiery conflict, BoBoiBoy and friends find themselves split into three groups. BoBoiBoy Blaze, Yaya and Gopal have been taken to the Bara tribe camp where they face Warmaster Yanaari, while BoBoiBoy Ice, Ying and Qually seek shelter in the Salju tribe village led by Mas Gardu. Meanwhile, Fang and Roktaroka are nowhere to be found.
The two teams must figure out the real cause of the centuries-old conflict, in order to find a peaceful solution to the seemingly never ending war.
Plot[]
At the Fire Rock Ice Village, Roktaroka tours Fang as the two discuss the harmony the village enjoys compared to the chaos happening in the rest of Planet Baraju. The two head to Toktaroka's house, where they are welcomed warmly by Toktaroka. Upon being prompted, Fang explains that he came to Fire-Rock Village to ask about Toktaroka's presence in an old photo with the original users of the Fire and Ice elemental powers.
Meanwhile with the other two groups, the Salju leader fondly remembers his grandfather as he somberly tells the story of how Mas Mawais got defeated by Retak'ka. He then introduces the Ice subgroup to Mas Mawais. At the same time, Yanaari explains that the two original Elemental users were both defeated by Retak'ka. The two leaders blame each other as they recap their respective grandfathers' battle and defeat by the supervillain.
Back in Roktaroka's village, Fang asks Toktaroka if he knew Pyrapi, but the old monster reveals he does not and only photobombed, explaining his coincidental presence in the photo. Meanwhile, BoBoiBoy Ice outs himself as the inheritor of Mawais's Blizzard elemental power, reveals that he (BoBoiBoy) defeated Retak'ka, and is now asking on how to access his 3rd-tier. On the other hand, Blaze reveals he inherited Pyrapi's elemental powers. Unfortunately, Yanaari did not know the secret of the 3rd tier powers, as her grandfather himself was rather private person and preferred not to use his powers in public.
The Fire and Ice subgroup contact each other, with the two trios worrying about Fang and Roktaroka's whereabouts as neither managed to communicate with them. Due to the seemingly never-ending war, neither subgroup is able to obtain information on the 3rd-Tier Elemental Power's original users. Yaya insinuates that they should be the one to start the peace process, since both tribes are already tired of the war; however, BoBoiBoy's memories start to deteriorate as he calls Yaya "Mimi". The friends quickly say goodbye after the Fire subgroup is nearly caught by a Bara local.
To help solve the mystery of the Bara and Salju tribes' never-ending war, Toktaroka leads Fang and Roktaroka through an underground passage. Fang complains about his lustrous armour, while Roktaroka curiously inquires about the crystals in the cave. The old rock monster reveals that he caught a glimpse of Pyrapi while exploring the cave and followed the revered warmaster. The trio come across a metal vault not far from where Toktaroka last recalled seeing Pyrapi. Fang uses his Shadow Rat to open the vault from the inside, only for the group to encounter Bara and Salju tribal robots, which immediately attacked them. Fang defended with his Shadow Shield.
Fang tells Toktaroka to get himself to safety, and the old monster retreats to call for backup. To combat the army of tribal soldiers, Fang summons his Shadow Jungle, while Roktaroka attempts to solve the problem peacefully, much to Fang's frustration. However, Roktaroka loses his temper when Fang gets hurt during the battle. Upon inspection of the battlefield, Fang discovers that the soldiers they just battled were Bara and Salju warrior robots. Roktaroka's friends arrive and are told of the situation, and Fang is determined to inform his friends of his discovery. The group enters the secret underground arena, which has Kemilau ores, rare glowing metals, scattered around, and a symbol on the ground that is a fusion of Blaze's and Ice's emblems. As Toktaroka exclaims in awe, one of the defeated warrior robots looms and reveals itself from behind the metal vault.
