Hot as Ember, Cold as Snow (Sehangat Bara, Sedingin Salju) is the 18th issue of the second season of BoBoiBoy Galaxy, and the 25th issue overall in the series.
Synopsis[]
A new adventure! In his quest to unlock the Third Tier of Elemental Power, BoBoiBoy together with his team must enlist the help of an old friend from Planet Volcania and trace the legacy of Warmaster Pyrapi, the original Fire Elemental Master.
Their search brings them to a planet afflicted by extreme climate conditions. A planet that threatens to entangle BoBoiBoy in a never ending conflict fueled by the embers of revenge and ice cold hatred.
Plot[]
The issue begins at TAPOPS-U. While Yaya, Ying, and Qually cook up a recipe from Guru Gaharum's cookbook, Gopal, Fang, and BoBoiBoy ask Hang Kasa for more information regarding the third-tier powers. Hang Kasa encourages BoBoiBoy and tells him with enough practice, the young boy can master his third-tier powers and would not have to worry about losing control anymore. BoBoiBoy asks if Hang Kasa can help him unlock the Crystal elemental power too, but Hang Kasa has unfortunately forgotten the means to acquire it and advises him to look for the third-tier of other elementals such as Fire instead.
To help BoBoiBoy get a lead on the third-tier elemental power of Fire, Hang Kasa tells of Warmaster Pyrapi, who is a revered leader and warmaster of his planet Baraju. Panglima Pyrapi was the original user of the third-tier elemental power and nearly won against Retak'ka before the villain narrowly overpowered him. Seeking more information, BoBoiBoy asks DataBot about Warmaster Pyrapi, the power sphere showed Gopal, Fang, and BoBoiBoy a singular old photo of the warmaster, with a figure similar to Roktaroka at the back.
After being asked Roktaroka informs the group that the figure in the photo is actually his grandfather, Toktaroka. BoBoiBoy requests the rock monster to escort the Kokotaim Gang (including Qually) to Baraju (particularly his village). As the group arrives, everyone experiences the extreme climates present in the planet, and land in the "just right" zone (Talistiwa Forest) located at the planet's center. However, as they trek the Talistiwa Forest, they get lost because Roktaroka forgot the directions to his own village.
Yaya suggests asking Pak Pato, who is selling toy robots, for the directions to Roktaroka's village. After Pak Pato gives them the correct directions to the village, the group finds themselves in a battlefield. BoBoiBoy transforms and eventually splits into Blaze and Ice, but unfortunately the entire group gets knocked unconscious and separated into three: Yaya, Blaze, and Gopal in the Fire territory; Ying, Ice, and Qually in the Ice territory; and Fang and Roktaroka resuming their trek to the latter's village.
As the Fire subgroup wakes up, the trio defended the Bars tribe from oncoming attacks and thus earned their hospitality, same happened with the Ice subgroup who helped Mas Gardu and his pet Tigre. At Salju Village, Gardu treats them to a warm meal. Meanwhile, at the Bara Village, the Fire subgroup is treated to a relaxing massage. Yaya attempts to contact Fang, who was also knocked unconscious when they were caught in the battlefield earlier. He wakes up having arrived at the Fire Rock Ice Village, which is also Roktaroka's old home.
