In Reach for the Skies!, Thorn again reappears as part of an Elemental Split, this time with Blaze and Cyclone.
In The Ancient Tribe of Kadruax!, Thorn is again a member of an Elemental Split, this time with Thunderstorm and Solar. He saves Solar and Ying when they get knocked out, and they are separated from Yaya, Gopal, and Thunderstorm. He and Solar bicker a lot after Solar insults his thorny boat. Their bickering eventually devolves into a mild argument in the next issue as the two forms try to solve a puzzle that will grant them entry to an ancient pyramid in the middle of the jungle. The two eventually learn to work together and later reunite with Thunderstorm, where they merge back. Later, Thorn and Solar are called out to perform an Elemental Fusion, forming BoBoiBoy Sori.
Appearance
His appearance is somewhat the same as the other forms of BoBoiBoy with cropped black hair and the regular physique of a child, but BoBoiBoy Thorn possesses green irises and is clad in mostly green and black with his cap being fully black with a minor addition of neon green vine-like linings adorning the sides of his cap all the way to the bill. He wears the said cap with the bill turned to the left of his head. Unlike the other elemental split personas, BoBoiBoy Thorn does not appear to sport a jacket but instead, he wears a short-sleeved shirt with black coloring the upper part and green on the lower part of the shirt, with green pants adorned with black jagged, thorn-like linings at the sides. His shoes are a mix of green and black colors laced with white shoelaces. His insignia is placed at the front of his shirt, right under the hoodie. Accessories that mainly differentiate him from the other forms happen to be the green thorn-like studs on a green wristband worn on his left wrist and a black arm warmer (adorned with green studs) that covers all the way from his right forearm to his hand.
In BoBoiBoy Movie 2 and BoBoiBoy Galaxy (Season 2), he has an appearance similar to that of his previous incarnation with a few differences. His jacket is now a stormbreaker jacket with gold laces, the front of his pants are green with thorn patterns while the back of his pants are black with glowing green thorn patterns. His shoes are a mix of green and black colors laced with gold shoelaces. He has a green fingerless glove worn on his right wrist and a black arm warmer (adorned with green studs) that covers all the way from his left forearm to his hand.
Personality
Much like his base form, Thorn shares much of his personality with Leaf, being a naive and childish individual, though unlike Leaf, he seems to take fighting a bit more seriously now and hasn't been seen going off or getting distracted like Leaf has.

- Thorn mostly uses his vines in situations to bind or hold, he barely uses his other tools.
- BoBoiBoy apparently loses the ability to use this form in the events of BoBoiBoy Galaxy, but Thorn's base form, Leaf, appears in Episode 5 and Thorn later debuts in the second movie.
- According to a trivia chapter of online Monsta comic of BoBoiBoy Galaxy (Season 2), Thorn's jungle outfit is suited for survival in the jungle as he was most comfortable in the wild environment of Planet Kadruax.
